Top 10 4x4 ATVs for 2007

By Robert Rousseau, ExtremeProSports.com

Looking for a list of ten great 2007 All Terrain Vehicles?

Well, look no further.

Whether you're considering a sport, utility, or sport / utility all terrain vehicle, we've got a little something for you to think about. Upcoming is a list of 10 ATV's that will meet your every desire; so keep reading. After all, it doesn't cost anything.

At least not yet.

Arctic Cat DVX 400 - The single cylinder, liquid cooled 398cc four stroke engine with counterbalancer is designed for one thing.

Movement.

This puppy offers 10 inches of ground clearance, a light steel alloy frame, great shocks, and the ability to make your hair stand on end. If you're looking for a fun sport ATV that moves, the Arctic Cat DVX 400 may be right for you.

CAN AM Outlander 800 H.O. EFI - This has a great frame that works wonders with the terrain ( in other words, you'll hardly notice that there is a terrain ). What's more, the Visco Lok differential transfers power from the wheels that slip to the wheels that grip ( you know, like Subaru cars ).

In other words, the Outlander is made to beat the environment.

Further, the 1,300 pounds of towing capacity and 300 pounds of total rack capacity may work for you as well. Lots of fun in the woods with this bad boy! But in order to experience it, you'll need to shell out around $8,700.

CAN AM Renegade 800 - The 400 stroke 800cc V - Twin Rotax engine provides some outstanding pop ( add in massive torque plus 62 horses ). However, this one does better than the typical ATV sports vehicle. It's versatile enough to pound around and offers highly supportive handling. Along with that, the CAN AM Renegade 800 also utilizes Visco Lok differential, which certainly helps it move when presented with difficult terrain.

Besides, the design screams, look at me!

That said, you'll need some money to purchase this one ( we're talking 9,000 plus here ), but you may consider the loss of green well worth it.

Honda FourTrax Foreman 4X4 ES ( with power steering ) - The fact that this model of Honda has electric power steering, a relatively new advancement in ATV technology, tells a lot of the story. Due to this the Honda FourTrax Foreman 4X4 ES really handles smoothly no matter what the terrain.

It's a good ATV with some frills.

Further, you'll love the push button shifting and, of course, the price ( mid $6,000's ).

Honda TRX 450R - Maybe you just want an ATV that can sport around with the best of them. In that case, look no further than the Honda TRX 450R. Why?

Because this baby can move.

The 450cc single cylinder liquid cooled engine can pop with the best of them. Though it doesn't have much ground clearance ( 4.2 inches ), that's not what you're really looking for with this one.

You'll need to shell out around $6,800 for it ( comes in kick start and electric start models ). But, if you're looking for a nice sporty ATV, you'll enjoy every minute of it.

Kawasaki Brute Force 750 4X4i - This vehicle is about strength; along with that, things that might've impeded your fun along the terrain in the past will crumble under its wrath. The Kawasaki Brute Force 750 is powered by a 90 degree, four stroke V- twin engine that really stands out in its class. So, if you're a large rider, no problem; it will take you on. Further, it offers a reasonable 264 pounds of rack capacity, 1,250 pounds of towing capacity, and 10.6 inches of ground clearance.

Few ATV's looked slicker before, but starting this year Kawasaki has added Candy Thunder Blue to past available colors of Aztec Red and Woodsman Green. It's also lightweight for its class and comfortable. To purchase, this ATV, you're looking at shelling out somewhere in the mid 7,000's.

Polaris Sportsman 800 EFI - Some ATV's have one thing that stands out about them, that singular specialty. Not so with the Polaris Sportsman 800 EFI. Thing is. . .

It's good at everything.

Though the engine doesn't blow you away on sight alone, it has that ability to perform better than you're expectations while you're on it.

Kind of like how certain football players play faster than their 40 time indicates.

Further, the Polaris Sportsman 800 EFI has outstanding towing capacity (1,500 pounds), 11.3 inches of ground clearance, and is available in four different colors. Even better, it's extremely comfortable and reliable, and comes to you all for about $8,500.

A great value.

Polaris Hawkeye 4X4 - Okay, maybe you're not a millionaire and don't want a huge ATV. Still, you may want something close to the power associated with one, but all for under $5,000.

Enter the Polaris Hawkeye 4X4.

A great all around kind of ATV that may work for hunters, farmers, and recreational users. The Polaris Hawkeye handles great and gives owners a lot of those gadgets they desire but wouldn't expect to get in a smaller ATV ( digital instrumentation, an odometer with trip meter, etc. ). It also tows an impressive 750 pounds, has 170 pounds of rack capacity, and offers eight inches of ground clearance.

It is available in green-black, black-silver, or mossy oak. Plain, yet appealing.

Yamaha Grizzly 700 FI 4X4 Ducks Unlimited Edition - Okay, you get the special stuff like high definition camoufalage, overfenders, a gun boot mount / gun boot, and a front molded cargo box. So, everything you need for the real outdoorsman. However, you also get a 686cc liquid-cooled, four stroke engine that's light weight, and brakes that work by many accounts with relatively little effort.

Best part, though, is the electric power steering; this allows it to take on bumps like they're nothing, making for one heck of a comfortable ride. Along with that, the engine is strong but not so powerful that you experience all that bucking; hence, this may be that ride you've been looking to get the family ( if you've got about $8,800, that is ).

Suzuki KingQuad 700 4X4 - Designed to be Suzuki's best sport / utility ATV, the KingQuad has done just that. It offers a high performance 695cc single cylinder, liquid cooled engine that can really move if needed. However, it is also energy efficient, something that everyone in this day and age needs.

Beyond that, it offers 10.2 inches of ground clearance and nice suspension. You can get it at a price somewhere in the mid $7,000's.
